From McKinsey to Startups
After two years at McKinsey, I made the decision to leave consulting. Here’s what I learned and why I moved on.
What Consulting Taught Me
McKinsey was an incredible training ground. In two years, I worked on AI strategy, due diligences in healthcare and aerospace, and helped drive $22M+ in impact across clients. The structured problem-solving, the rigor of analysis, and the exposure to C-suite thinking — these are skills that compound.
Why I Left
But consulting has a fundamental tension: you’re always advising, never building. I realized I wanted to be the one shipping the product, not the one recommending it in a deck.
What’s Next
Now at Trillion Labs, I’m doing exactly that — building AI products that solve real enterprise problems. The learning curve is steeper, the stakes feel higher, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The best way to predict the future is to build it.
